50,000 and counting

In a recent analysis, it was found that the numbers having taken a National Navigation Award course at either Bronze, Silver or Gold level had topped the 50,000.

The National Navigation Award Scheme was launched in 1994 at the Royal Institute of Navigation in London. Since then it has grown steadily and is now recognised by many organisations and outdoor businesses as an essential part of their training.

That’s a lot of walkers, cyclists, horse riders and others who can navigate with confidence and accuracy.
