Current Situation re running NNAS accredited courses
Following the Prime Minister’s statement on Sunday 10th May about “easing” the lockdown, the NNAS Office has received various enquiries from Providers about running NNAS accredited courses.
The Board has reviewed the situation and in the light of concern from a range of professional bodies, Mountain Rescue Teams and National Park and other countryside organisations, have concluded that the NNAS cannot sanction any courses being run at the moment.
We cannot, of course, stop individuals from running courses, but any reference to NNAS accreditation must be removed from all publicity. Certificates will not be issued either.
We are aware that the situation is changing regularly. Please rest assured that the Board is constantly reviewing the situation and when we feel it’s possible to run NNAS courses safely we will let Providers know.
